I LOVE to meet new people and talk and laugh with them and take their pictures.
My interests include hanging with my little boy, music, reading, dancing, garage saling (yes, I made it a verb), snow skiing, Facebooking, reading blogs, forums, and other photography related sites.
I grew up outside of Cincinnati, OH, and moved to Kansas in 1995. I graduated HS and got my Associates Degree in Arkansas City, a small south east Kansas town, just minutes north of the Oklahoma border. Ark City quickly became home and I had many great experiences there, including meeting a sweet Wichita boy during my senior year of high school in the Fall of 2001.
In 2006, I got to marry that boy, my movie start hubby, Matthew Broderick. In February 2010, we welcomed a little boy into our family. This little boy, Camden is also the subject of many of my photos.
I am very involved in mommy groups (yes, I belong to multiple) in my area and love that both Camden and I are able to socialize with other mothers and children. I am always happy to chat with new moms about everything. I also know of many resources, so I am available to help with suggesting other people, groups, etc. as well.
After receiving an AS degree from Cowley College in Computer Engineering, I moved to Lawrence, KS and received my BS from The University of Kansas in Computer Science.
I am lucky enough and blessed to get to work from home and be a stay at home mom at the same time. Being able to work from home doing photography is something I have dreamed of doing for many years. I used to think it would never be possible, but the opportunity came and I jumped on and haven’t let go.
I currently do not limit what I photograph because I have not chosen a specialty and I really enjoy photographing everything and all ages. I have yet to find one thing that makes me only want to photograph that and nothing else. I am always open to new ideas, so if you have any, I would love for you to share them with me.
I LOVE photography. I have always been interested in it. I used to LOVE getting my film back and opening the package of pictures. Although I no longer use film, the same excitement is still there. Now it comes when I open the folder on my desktop and see the images for the first time, or when a print order comes in the mail. It’s like Christmas every time. 😀 I LOVE the endless possibilities that photography offers. After capturing moments, digital editing and creating projects like announcements for weddings, babies, or any other event, I LOVE to see the finished product! I LOVE exploring where my photography can lead me and try to continuously think of new ways that I can use my photography to create pieces of art. I would LOVE to fill my home with custom photography pieces that are meaningful to me and bring a smile when I look at them – don’t worry, I’m working on it! Although I have only been using a DSLR for a couple of years, my point and shoot camera got much use and was well LOVED (as it still is). It may have been limiting in some ways, but it allowed me to explore and definitely helped feed into my dream. I LOVE that my business allows me the freedom where every day can be different. Some days we get up and go out and some days we stay in our jammies and I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Thanks for getting to know a little about me. I would LOVE to meet you as well.
Make sure to send me a message (email, Facebook, phone, anything) and introduce yourself!
